Arrival in Windhoek. After a short sightseeing tour drive west to a lodge located in the desert area of the Namib.

In a northerly direction it goes on a four-wheel drive to a high plateau with a fantastic view of red-coloured table mountains. Visit of the rock engravings at Twyvelfontein and arrival in the palm oasis Palmwag.

Day 4- Palmwag

Visit the Palmwag Concession Area, an approximately 5,000 km2 privately owned nature reserve in the hilly reddish steppe landscape of the desert region, with occurrences of small and large game, including the endangered black rhino and the desert elephant.

Optional: Rhino Trekking - must be booked in advance

This excursion is done with a open game drive vehicle to the location and the tracking is done on foot in search of Rhinos. During this excursion your experienced guide accompanied by an experienced tracker(s) takes you off the beaten track into the vast areas of Damaraland to track and observe the endangered Black Rhino.
